CONSULTATION FOR NEW SPORTS FACILITIES PLANNED FOR CLIFFE WOODS!
Cliffe and Cliffe Woods Parish Council
Exciting News for Cliffe Woods!
The Parish Council is currently consulting with Medway Council to explore the development of a new sports or fitness facility within the Cliffe Woods ward. This project will be funded by a Section 106 (s106) grant, made possible by recent housing developments in the village.
The specific terms of the s106 agreement state: “Towards the improvement of the Cliffe Woods Recreation Ground and improving sports provision in the Cliffe Woods area, provision of allotments in Cliffe Woods, and enhancements to open space facilities at Great Lines Heritage Park.”
Please note that 5% of the total grant will be allocated to the Great Lines Heritage Park, leaving approximately £240,000 potentially available for the Cliffe Woods project.
We’d love to hear from you! What facilities or improvements would you like to see in Cliffe Woods?
Suggestions so far include:
- An enclosed multi-use games area (MUGA), potentially located on the recreation field.
- Additional allotments, beyond those already being developed in the village (off Bucklands Road).
Your input is invaluable in shaping this project! Please share your ideas in the comments on our Facebook page or contact the Parish Council directly.
Let’s work together to make Cliffe Woods an even better place to live!
