Cliffe & Cliffe Woods Parish Councillors, together with Cllr Etheridge from Strood Rural Ward, today met with Paul Henry, Managing Director of Esquire Developments, and his site management team Stuart Chance and Mick Stickells, to address residents’ concerns regarding the housing development located south of View Road.

Key topics discussed included:

  • Measures to reduce the dispersal of mud and debris from the site works entrance onto the B2000.
  • Management of waste materials generated during the pressure cleaning of lorries departing the site.
  • Enhancing communication to keep residents informed about potential delays or inconveniences.

During the meeting, Councillors donned the obligatory personal protective equipment and participated in a site tour, during which Mr. Henry comprehensively explained the new preventative measures now in place. The constructive dialogue led both parties to agree on maintaining regular communication and providing ongoing updates.

Residents are encouraged to regularly check the Parish Council website and social media channels for any relevant news.

Additionally, please be advised that works affecting travel include the implementation of two-way traffic control on Town Road, opposite the works entrance, to facilitate mains electrics installation. These works are scheduled to commence on Saturday, 15th February, and are expected to conclude on Friday, 21st February. We kindly ask that you allow extra time for your journey during this period.
